Senshu Park, developed on the site of Kubota Castle—the former seat of the Satake clan, lords of the Akita Domain with a 200,000-koku stipend—boasts around 2,600 vibrant azalea bushes in full bloom, including varieties such as Omurasaki, Ryukyu, Renge, Yellow Renge, and Kirishima.
The azaleas are also illuminated at night, creating a magical, dreamlike atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
